Frequently Asked Questions

What should my camper bring with them?

A water bottle, spray sunscreen, a packed lunch, and a snack. Please have your camper's name written on each item. On pool day, we will be going swimming in the morning. Please come to camp wearing your swimsuit, and pack a change of clothes. Campers will have the ability to change when we get back to camp from the pool. Your camper does not need to bring any money with them.

What should my camper leave at home?

Please leave all cell phones, electronics, toys and money at home.

We have a no phone policy at camp. Should you need to reach your child for any reason, please call Jody (614) 560-9070 or Brady (740) 816-7936 and we will allow you to speak to your child/pass on any needed information.

Do kids sign up for just 1 week, or multiple weeks?

Both!

We are organized as a weekly camp. However, in 2023 about 50% of our campers came for multiple weeks, with around 20% of our campers attending every week.

Where/When will dropoff/pickup take place?

We will start drop off each day at 8:45 at the shelter house behind General Rosecrans Elementary. On the first day of camp, you will need to park and sign your camper in. Every other day, you may simply pull around and let your camper out of the car and they can walk up to the shelter house by themselves where their counselor will check them in.

Pickup will begin at 3:45. To pickup, you will need to park and come to the shelter house to sign your camper out. You will receive an email 2 weeks prior to your week of camp with further information about pickup procedures.

Who are the counselors?

ALL of our staff are state certified Teachers, School Psychologists, Principals, and Teacher Assistants who have been fully background checked in accordance with the ODJFS. For more information on our staff, please see our staff page

What safety precautions will be taken at the pool?

On pool day, we give our campers the option to take a swim test with a lifeguard. If the camper passes the swim test, they will receive a red wristband that allows them to go across the rope into the deep end of the pool. If the camper chooses not to take the test or does not pass the swim test, they will be required to stay on the shallow end side of the rope. 90% of our campers swim on this side of the rope anyway.

There are several lifeguards working at the pool, as well as our counselors who are all focused on the water. If you would like to come observe on our pool day, come on down!

Is there an early drop off/late pick up option?

We DO have an early drop off option. Those that sign-up for this option may drop off as early as 7:00 AM. The cost is $30 per child for the week.

We do NOT have a late pickup option
